What celebrity couples have made you go “huh...”?

In the spirit of daft sleb twaddle, what celeb pairings have you read about and would never have thought of as a couple in a million years?

For example

Harry & Meghan- knew of her from Suits but when I read about her and Harry for the first time I just thought “now that’s random!”. Particularly given his previous history of exclusively dating blonde Sloaney types...

Elon Musk and Grimes- after showing a preference for gorgeous young actresses (Talulah Riley and Amber Heard) I wouldn’t have placed him with a quirky electro pop singer who makes vulva-shaped jewellery on the side.

Lily Allen and David Harbour (but they do seem very sweet together)
Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston (RIP Tayto)
Kourtney Kardashian (I think that’s the right one) and Travis from Blink 182.
Phoebe Dynevor (from Bridgerton) and Pete Davidson (although he has a history of “huh” girlfriends- Kate Beckinsale for example)
Millie Mackintosh and Professor Green (who didn’t last very long to be fair)

This isn’t a criticism of any of these couples btw, if you’re happy you’re happy!

I don't understand the Richard and Judy thing either. I think they are quite normal (ish!). They have certainly stood the test of time. Richard is ageing well, but I love Judy.

Also don't get Richard and Judy. I used to watch them on TV when I had my first baby 30 years ago, and they were both pleasant, smiley and similarly attractive. Seemed a good, natural couple.
Richard has aged VERY well but is a bit of a twit; Judy is lovely.
It's is sad that a woman being or looking older than her husband draws such attention... especially from other women!

Tbf I agree with people about Richard and Judy and I don't think she's ever been that attractive.

If we are going by looks alone, she has always been batting even in the 80s. But hopefully she has a great personality to make up for it!

Used to watch Richard on Judy when the dc were young. They were lovely together. The age gap didn’t matter. She’s 73 now and he’s 65, so it’s no surprise she’s taken a back seat.

Just looking at Judy’s Wikipedia site, she was the first female reporter on ‘Anglia About’.. I think people forget she was one of the first successful female reporters.

I definitely think it’s Richard who got the better deal.

Judy has a backbone and drive, she is formidable but seems OK as a person. Richard isn’t that sexually attractive at all. He’s slim and has regular features, but no ‘zing’ at all about him.

I think we do judge women who aren’t attractive quite harshly if they have a fairly decent looking man.

On looks alone Judy is the better looking one, but anyway they seem a very well matched pair, they are certainly happy together. DH and I have the same age gap, it isn’t that huge !

My hero Steve Coogan based Alan Partridge on a mix of Richard Madely, Richard Whitely and someone else I can't remember!
Actually, Madeley himself is like Alan.

Richard and Judy's first baby was born in the same hospital as my sister's baby. She remembers him walking up the corridor each visiting time, looking so thrilled and excited! There was a " bathing baby " session going on one day, and Richard asked if he could stay and take part. The ward sister said no, mums only! Think he and Judy are a great couple.

It's been mentioned a few times recently how Alan Partridge-like RM is. I think he's more like that now than he was a couple of decades ago when he was trying to be taken more seriously... which makes me wonder if he's doing it deliberately to keep up his profile!
There seems to be a tabloid headline every day about RM making a silly remark, or clashing with a guest on GMB. He wants this job permanently, so is trying to draw attention to himself and be as controversial as Piers Morgan... though a little bit nicer!

They seemed perfectly matched to me.

It is strange that people expect Judy to somehow stay frozen at 45. Is this because many other women in tv have facelifts etc ? She is a good looking woman in her seventies !

My mum is 18 years older than her husband - she is younger for her age and he older - they are a perfect match and have been together for over 30 years!
