What celebrity couples have made you go “huh...”?

In the spirit of daft sleb twaddle, what celeb pairings have you read about and would never have thought of as a couple in a million years?

For example

Harry & Meghan- knew of her from Suits but when I read about her and Harry for the first time I just thought “now that’s random!”. Particularly given his previous history of exclusively dating blonde Sloaney types...

Elon Musk and Grimes- after showing a preference for gorgeous young actresses (Talulah Riley and Amber Heard) I wouldn’t have placed him with a quirky electro pop singer who makes vulva-shaped jewellery on the side.

Lily Allen and David Harbour (but they do seem very sweet together)
Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston (RIP Tayto)
Kourtney Kardashian (I think that’s the right one) and Travis from Blink 182.
Phoebe Dynevor (from Bridgerton) and Pete Davidson (although he has a history of “huh” girlfriends- Kate Beckinsale for example)
Millie Mackintosh and Professor Green (who didn’t last very long to be fair)

This isn’t a criticism of any of these couples btw, if you’re happy you’re happy!

I don't dislike Michael Sheen but his doing that clichéd male celeb thing of reaching middle age and then marrying a woman half his age did cause me to roll my eyes and think 'really, Michael?'

I'm another one who was surprised by Grimes and Elon Musk. Now I know a bit more about him I can sort of see it.

I was surprised when Damian Lewis announced Helen McRory had died. I don’t think they were an odd couple, just never realised they were together. So sad ☹️ I was the same @SnottyLottie I had no idea they were together. I watched a clip of an interview they did a couple of weeks before she died and I was crying just watching the way he was looking at her, like she was his whole world 😢

I remember at the time thinking that Natalie Portman and Moby were a weird coupling…then it turned out that they weren’t actually a couple and Moby was just being weird

Marilyn Manson and Evan Rachel Wood - she was so young and i always thought that he had groomed her to look like/be like Dita Von Teese. Turned out I was right about that one ☹️

Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker doesn’t really surprise me. They’ve known each other since 2006 and he has always dated women like that. Paris Hilton, his ex wife was a former Miss USA etc.

I think it gets a bit tragic when you see Madonna with a succession of 20-something boyfriends and the even older Mick Jagger with a succession of 20-something girlfriends. At what point do you allow yourself to acknowledge that they're with you for your celebrity and money rather than red hot desire.

I think they’re fine with that because I guess they are more celebrity than normal human being. I mean when you have a world of people to choose from who all “love” you and enough money to protect you in sickness and ill health, who cares if they are the one or not?

Why? They met around 2002 while presenting Fame Academy, the story of him going over to LA for her birthday to surprise her is lovely. They have been married since 2012 and have two young sons. I am not getting the 'huh?' with them at all.
