Sheffield to Pembrokeshire

Due to go to Narbeth in Pembrokeshire with our 2 year old twins next week. It's a 5.5 hour journey which is starting to scare the beejesus out of me.

Any tips for where good to stop off on the journey that could burn off some energy, or tips for the journey. We have kindle kids with some programmes downloaded, colouring books, regular books etc etc.

Anything obvious we are missing?

The National Forest adventure farm is good if you want to stop for a while and don’t mind paying. It will be a fair detour from the motorway, but worth it as it’s perfect for that age. Staunton Harold reservoir is in a similar area and would also make a lovely stop, and it’s free!
Pooley Country Park will be handy for you. It’s just outside Tamworth.
Further towards Pembrokeshire, there’s Eastnor Castle which has quite a bit to do and isn’t too far off your journey.

My grandparents live in narberth and it’s a similar length drive for us too. When we go the through wales way there rarely seems anywhere to stop so now we just try to stop once and get it over with
