what's your expectation in this situation, time wise?

friend and you agree on Sat to meet on Monday at some point.
she says she needs to check work calendar on Monday morning, then will let you know.
she starts work at 8-8.30am.

at what time do you expect she'd reply to say "free at x o'clock/no can do"?
mine was 9am

and what's anyone's time tolerance before feeling "come on, I'm just waiting around"?
mine was 10.30

Also are you more likely to:
A, text/call to check what's up
B, assume "she probably forgot/busy" and stop expecting to meet that day (and get on ?

I went with B this time, because it was first day back after half term. probably would have texted another day (I don't like calling people during their work ours unless emergency).

pure curiosity, there are no right or wrong answers!
I have issues with time management so I guess it would help to know where I fall on the patient/impatient scale😁

I would say I'd expect to hear something but mid-morning, maybe lunchtime at a push. I'd probably text to ask for an update, so I know what I'm doing with the rest of my day, that doesn't seem unreasonable to me. I'm wary of playing it cool, in case the other person thinks I'm not bothered about seeing them, but I guess it depends what kind of friendship you have.

I would expect her to let me know as soon as she arrived at work tbh, within half an hour or so, given that it was a plan to meet on that day and I also had a day to plan around.

By 11am I would assume it wasn't happening and just leave it. Wouldn't chase her up, I'd presume if she wanted to meet then she would have been in touch.

If she messaged later than that then I would ask to reschedule for a set time on another day.
