I have to tell you guys this! Lost my dearest dad suddenly last July - miss him so very much. I currently have a lot of his books stored in my bedroom. Some are of a religious nature (he was a Methodist Preacher) - am going to give them to a local John Wesley organisation when they are able to accept them (covid).
Anyhooo - I am reading dad's copy of Collected short stories D H Lawrence at the moment. He circled some of them in the index so am getting through those first. I am around 3/4 way Daughters of the Vicar.
Had a really busy Sunday - went to bed early and thought I'll finish reading it - but so tired no energy to hold the book - thought to myself 'I'll put Radio 4 Extra on instead and drift of to something light....'
Could not believe it when I heard the story being aired as a radio play in the exact same spot that I'd left off on the book. Am astounded. What are the chances?
Coincidence or dad?
I hope dad...
Would love to hear more like this....
