As in, settled down and sleeping - not chilling and watching Netflix etc

Mine is 14 and is asleep at 10.30pm on a school night which he obviously thinks is ridiculously early

What about yours?

More like 11/11.30 to be honest. I would like him to sleep earlier. 10.30 would be so much better

Yes - mine creeps towards 11 more often than not.

If he falls asleep then then he's ready for it. Everyone took the mick out of me at school for being asleep by 2130, I've always been an early bird. Never saw the point in making myself stay up until 2230/ 2300!

My 14 year old DS is normally properly ready for sleep between 11/11.30. If I tried to force it earlier he’d be awake until then anyway.

Not sure. Phone use is banned after 10 but I don't limit reading. I've been known to stay up all night reading a good book. My DC is very good at getting up when his alarm goes off and getting himself to school. Some mornings he is much more grumpy/rude than others, though.

I've jus told my 14 year old to go to bed he will go through his phone for a bit then fall asleep. He's good at getting himself up and ready for school on time. Some nuughts he's asleep by 8.30 just depends on him ..

My 14 year old DD and 16 year old DS go upstairs between 9:30 and 10:15ish.

DD has always been a lark and is finding this school year (Y9) really draining, so sometimes goes up earlier and crashes.

DS will linger downstairs to chat, and will spend a while in and out of the bathroom 'getting ready for bed', sometimes chatting with his father who at that time is getting ready to go to work most nights. When DS goes to sleep is debatable, but he shared a room with DS2 who will rat him out if his sleep is disturbed unless the disruption entertains him enough (I have before found DS1 reading to DS2 in funny voices at like 11 which was adorable if a little confusing) but as long as devices are downstairs and it's reasonably quiet enough that DS2 usually gets enough sleep, I don't keep track anymore.

I suspect now that not-exams are over and we're settling into our new place that DS1 will start changing his night routine as his energy levels return, but so far hasn't made any push for it beyond being more chatty before bed than any other time which I'm happy to enjoy a bit longer.
