What could this lump be- not a bite?

My dh thinks I should speak to the GP but first I thought I'd ask mn as I don't want to waste the GPs time. It's not a bite but I've had it for about 3 weeks now and it's got bigger. It hurts to touch like a burn but I haven't been out in the sun. Any one got any thoughts? My brain immediately went to skin cancer as I'm a bit paranoid since I had stage 3 breast cancer 10 years ago. What could it be?

My mum had something similar on her back 5 years ago and it turned out to be nothing. Hopefully yours is the same but with your history it's always best to err on the side of caution.
