I've just seen the new Bob The Builder when googling the USA version. WTAF have they done to him??

It's been many years since I saw him to be fair.

I refuse to acknowledge any of that new shite!
I mean the original ones were bad enough... (done them twice thanks to 6 year age gap).
But Thompas as an American and Tiddlytubbies sounds like verbal diarrhea!

Things haven't been right since the golden era of noggin the nog imo.

You can probably change it to British English in the audio options. Paw Patrol has the same option.

I mourn for Bob The Builder, he's been ruined. TTTE never featured much, dd1 was scared of the crashes so pretty much ruled out every episode.

I have argued for many years that just as a building can have heritage protection, there are some plays, tv shows and films that should have the same. For example, no Dad's Army remake.

Looks like I should argue for Thomas the Tank Engine likewise.

@Donkeysnotdisney - The original TV series was narrated by Ringo Starr. Michael Angelides took over at some point in the 80s or 90s I think. Anything after the 90s is shit. Thomas around the world makes me want to throw a sledgehammer at the TV.

If its on Netflix have you checked the audio and subtitle options? I noticed the other day that one American program (which we actually watch in Polish) now has British audio with a British accent. Hurray! You can see if it's the same for Thomas?

Ringo Starr only did the first and second series, the majority was done by Michael Angelides but everyone attributes it to Ringo incorrectly.

It works other ways as well though. No one in the U.K. seems surprised that the Bananas in Pyjamas have British accents.

That's exactly what I said. The original was Ringo (as you say, first & second series) then Angelides took over. Just googled, he took over in '91 so my guess of 80s or 90s wasn't bad.

Mysterious Cities of Gold was French/Japanese. Watch the French intro on YouTube, sounds way better.

Paw Patrol is Canadian, made by TVO, clearly set in coastal BC, and it is super-weird for us hearing it in British English over here.
