Does my cut look okay?

I accidentally cut my forearm yesterday. I was talking to my mum in the garden and went to walk into the house without looking and somehow the spare door key on the keyring in the door was balanced on the handle and sticking out at 90degrees so as I walked through it cut my arm in an arc motion.

I rinsed it, sprayed some colloidal silver on it and a plaster for a couple of hours.

I think it looks okay, it feels tender and warm to the touch but then it's quite deep considering the key wasn't that sharp. I think I've seen too many horror stories on here from seemingly innocuous injuries!

Any thoughts? I'm just leaving it alone at the moment.

It looks as though it’s healing nicely but you could draw a mark around the red section of skin to see if it expands, if your temp raises or you feel unwell it might be worth getting advice. When did you last have a tetanus, is it an old rusty key?

Thanks @FAQs that's good. I'm not sure about my last tetanus shot that's a good point. Yes it's quite an old key, I think it's about 15 years old.

Put some savlon on it and pop into a chemist if you are worried.
I think it looks ok too.

Excellent, thanks @passmethemilk

Looks fine, nice and dry

Looks fine, leave it alone! The redness and soreness is your body healing it - the inflammatory phase of wound healing. Let it get on with it, no need for Savlon etc.
