Can't control my temper when period is due

Me and OH usually have one big argument every month and it's usually a few days before my period is due. We can be happy for 3 and a half weeks straight then one big bust up.

I've just walked out and gone for a drive to give us time to cool down. I don't know how I can control it. It's like I know it coming but their is nothing I can do to stop it.

Has anyone else gone through anything like this? I've ruined my last day off by arguing with OH and upsetting everyone.

I have a DD & DS and it's not fair on them witnessing it and my poor neighbours!

How old? I have been much worse in my 40's heading for menopause.

Does starflower oil work for perimenopause rage too ?

I used to be like that when I was younger. I thought it was PMDD. Was fine when pregnant, none of the pills suited me, but they did help with the PMT, though the progesterone one made me feel like I had constant anxiety instead.
Ended up being diagnosed with underactive thyroid and it's a lot better now I'm on medication. Still get a bit ragey, but I can control it better now. I get anxiety with my PMT more these days, which is better for people around me, even if it feels horrible.

Have started Evening Primrose but apparently it takes a few months to kick in.

Evening Primrose Oil and a long brisk walk, the faster the better, to get all the tension out.
