Wedding in protaras

Had anyone got married in Cyprus, particularly the protaras area?
I'm thinking in two years time but obviously I'm still a little worried where we'll be regarding covid.

Can anyone tell me how it works getting married over there?
We'd want a hotel and wedding package and obviously have a big holiday over there at the same time.
I don't want nothing really formal, I like the idea of a civil ceremony and a reception but I don't want a top table etc, just something more relaxed. Would love to hear some wedding day stories

We have just cancelled ours because of Covid 😢 but if your on Facebook join Cyprus brides. It's brilliant you can get all your info there.

Oh no sorry to hear that, when was it supposed to be ?

I'm not on Facebook.

I'm just struggling to get my head around the holiday and wedding part, like how am I meant to confirm guests when it's two years away lol

Next July. The uncertainty was just too much. So we where paphos. There is a program on demand called sun sea and brides to be. Watch it it's great to see different parts of the island and venues and stuff.

You don't confirm your numbers until 2 weeks before. I was using the hotels own planner most of them have one. There are independent planners aswell. Ours would have been pay on the day of the wedding but I think that might vary across different venues.

Tskkosks hotel it's a chain that has stunning hotels if you take a wee look there.

Funnily enough I was looking at that hotel chain!
Sorry you've had to cancel, what do you plan to do now? Book again when it's all settled down or go for something over here instead ?

I will have a look at that show, might be my new series to binge watch 😆

I'm just unsure about how it all works, like do we book the holiday directly through the hotel and then obviously pay the wedding on top. Or use TUI or something. Also there's then non resident guests of the hotel we choose, the fact I don't want top table etc
