I've recently relocated and joined the local gym but for context before I moved I did classes with a local instructor via zoom (and I will still jump on her online classes when I can) and the pool you just booked an hour time but they didn't really seem to care if you went over and the changing rooms were open ext
My new pool... you're not allowed in the changing rooms on the way in, you have to go pool ready and just change at the side of the pool. Hour slots are booked in ten minute intervals (So if you book 7-7:10 you can swim until 8:10/7:10-7:20 can swim until 8:20, 7:20-7:30 until 8:30 and so on). You can only use the changing rooms on the way out
and the classes...obviously due to COVID theres limited numbers but you can only book them at 10pm 7 days out (So classes will go live tonight for next sunday).. Because theres something stupid like 10/12 spaces I find i'm having to sit with my laptop with a tab with the satellite time so as soon as it goes from 9:59:59 to 10:00:00 I have to book instantly... Within 30 seconds all the spaces are booked...
Surely there must be a better way than sitting up with the tab open to book exactly as the clock strikes 10pm? I also feel really bad as i'm new to the area and the gym and I just feel like i've taken a space away from someone else who might be a regular
How is everyone elses gyms doing the classes and swimming?
I completely understand limiting numbers and having to book but it just seems a bit crazy that within 30 seconds all spaces are gone (When I booked last night for next week it only took 15 seconds for the spaces to fill)
