Awake with earache. 111?

luckily I've not needed to go to a walk in for years so I'm abit clueless

Do I need an appointment via 111 for a walk in centre these days? Sure I've seen it mentioned on here.

I'm ready to chew the side of my face off and paracetamol / drops aren't touching it

Here if you call 111 they will book an appointment rather than you sit waiting in the walk in centre so I would call.

The ‘walk in’ centre near us no longer accepts walk ins so think 111 is a good idea. Poor you, ear pain is dreadful

Thank you - I'll ring soon. Hoped to wait until Monday to try for a GP appointment but I think they're like gold dust too and don't think I can do another night.

I did. No appointment system so was just a sit and wait thing.

The nurse was really dismissive though - think she was pussed off with me being there as it was busy and others had more serious injuries etc.

It's more painful today - she only gave me an 'over the counter' spray. I scrapped the prescription and paid for it in Sainsbury instead

I had an infection on holiday 2 years ago and ended up in a total mess with a swollen face and tongue and needing to go to hospital on holiday 😔

You need to go back for better stuff. The nurse has totally fobbed you off. This has happened to a relative of mine recently who then ended up on an IV antibiotics. If you are still experiencing bad pain go to A and E. Hope you get better soon.
