Okay say money's no problem, I don't know you've just won over 100 million on the lotto so where are you living and why? (Covid isn't a thing in this situation).

Just for fun and interested to see people's answers.

I'll post mine a bit later, I'm gonna have a think about it since I have nothing else to do today.

I think I'd need a mix of places, depending on my mood and the time of year. Tokyo, for the city buzz, northern Scandinavia for the winter/ski side of things, then somewhere warm to relax - probably Italy for the amazing food!

I would love to live in Norway. The people are more introverted and they seem pragmatic and sensible. I prefer a cooler climate and I would like to live somewhere with forests, water and more space.

Southern California. Love it!

FlowerChildofthe80s · 05/06/2021 13:23

Northumberland coast, or Cornish coast.

Crankley · 05/06/2021 13:25

Right where I am, in England.

wanderedlonelyasacloud · 05/06/2021 13:28

I'd like to have a number of places - a large house near where I am now so I can see family, a nice flat in london, a flat in Sydney, and a place in vancouver.

MareofBeasttown · 05/06/2021 13:31

I am not British and would like to live in London forever- I love it like nothing else- but I do not think it is in my destiny:(

Italy

I’d have a place in Venice and another on Lake Garda.
A chateau in the south of France and an apartment in Paris
A place in New York and one in California
A cottage in Cornwall

Oenanthe · 05/06/2021 13:36

Exactly where I do, in the nicest bit of Devon. But in a bigger house.

this is spot on!

Away from home, the place I’ve felt most at home is Boston (American, rather than Lincolnshire)… such a good mix of historic and modern, with brilliant bars and restaurants, plenty of green space and a friendly, relaxed feel overall.

BearSoFair · 05/06/2021 14:01

Copenhagen, Stockholm...or Edinburgh!

Strokethefurrywall · 05/06/2021 15:48

Where I am now in the Cayman Islands as it’s our home.
A country pile in West Sussex close to my family;
An apartment in Manhattan
A place in Byron Bay
Apartment in Kuala Lumpur
Beach house in Costa Rica.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 05/06/2021 16:07

I'd buy apartments in London, Singapore and Manhattan and a beach house in Australia's Gold Coast.

OrchidLass · 05/06/2021 19:06

Ardnamurchan in the north west of Scotland. I'd sit and watch the otters and pine martins all day, happy as a pig in shit.
