Does anyone know any summer holiday day camps for English-speaking kids (age 8) near Nice? A language camp to learn French would be ideal, but anything fun for her would be fine so long as there were other international kids who speak some English.
I'm hoping to visit my parents in the South of France over the summer once we've had our second vaccinations - first time I will have seen them in real life since before covid. Looking increasingly unlikely, but planning keeps the hope alive!
I'd obviously like DD(8) to spend time with her grandparents, but also want some solid time with my parents myself. My mother has Alzheimers, and I think both parents will struggle with an energetic 8 year old bouncing around for more than a few hours per day. I also want DD to have fun! I'm thinking 3-4 hours a day, so she has some company her own age and I have some uninterrupted time with my parents. It would be a bonus if she learned some French, but at a minimum it would need to be an environment where she could understand the staff and kids, otherwise it won't be much fun for her. Definitely not looking for a residential camp for her.
Am I looking for the impossible, or does this exist? There seem to be a few in the Alps - but the whole point is to be where my parents live.
Would be grateful for any links or ideas.
