My budget is about £350. I need to buy a laptop for dd to take to college. She has SEN and is very much into drawing online in her spare time I’m edging towards a chrome book. Is it a laptop or an iPad type thing. I have no idea.

Is it best just to go to currys and ask?—lazy cow alert—

Try Laptops Direct.
I've always had great service from the 'Direct' group

A Chromebook would probably be appropriate, yes. They’re powered by a different operating system, are geared towards saving everything in the cloud and working on Google software. They’re cheaper, and simpler to set-up.

The only thing you’d need to check is what software she uses to draw with - will that work on a Chromebook?.

She has a drawing tablet that I think she could just plug in. Will check.

You can get chrome books that are also touch screen, so can be used either as a tablet or a laptop. Have a look at Levenos.
