Hi, hoping for some advice please. My son is due to sit the 11plus this September. He has a tutor and I spend a fair amount of time with him (I think) working through papers. His maths is great, VR is fine, NVR I think too. He doesn't get on with English so well, especially the comprehension. He does read I think a fair amount. I feel like it's almost a self fulfilling prophecy - he knows he's good at maths so he is happy to sit and do a paper, he almost relishes it. English he just seems not to be able to apply himself. I wish I could instill that same positive feeling iykwim?? Has anyone got any tips?
Also we are in Bucks and I am getting mixed messages about whether the test is equally weighted or if English counts for more?
And does anyone have any idea of the equivalent percentage for test papers vs the 121 pass mark?
Apologies for 20 questions Smile

Sat 11plus@Bexley primary school?

Hello to parents at Bexley primary schools.
Can you check with your children if they were allowed to go in with the pencil cases you gave them for the exams.
If not, were they provided with the correct pencil and a rubber?

Because a school in Bexley decided not to allow the children to go in with their pencil cases.
Then they were given different pencil from that specify by Bexley.

They were not allowed rubbers.

They had to put their hands up for the teachers to rub out the incorrect answers for them.

It seems that some of these schools might not be following the guidelines.

Please check with your child.
