How could anyone think this is acceptable? (TW)

A news article about a woman spray-painting over a sign depicting a kidnap victim on the tailgate of a truck.
What on earth would make someone think the image is acceptable?

Just bumping this up there, and saying although I wouldn't have done what his woman did, I don't think she should be prosecuted.
