Gloss or matt bathroom tiles in hard water area?

We have hard water and I’m wondering whether matt or gloss tiles would be less upkeep to keep clean. Which would show more water marks? No one is very good at drying down the bathroom all the time unfortunately!

I'd suggest the big plastic panels instead of tiles. Way easier to avoid water marks and no grout to clean.

Definitely Matt unless you want to be scrubbing all the time

Or vinyl laminate is working well for us and is not slippy. We had tiles in another house and it was like an ice rink when wet

@InkieNecro I think these would be practical but I prefer the look of tiles. Although to be fair I haven’t seen the panels for years so maybe they have some different ones now!

My mum actually has some panels that look like tiles, no grout still!

I have gloss tiles that look like marble, we are in a very hard water area.
They show no marks atall!

Hmmm mixed reviews of gloss tiles in a hard water area - it’s difficult to know whether to risk it!

The outcome/cleaning difference would be minimal. Polish regularly after showers with an old towel.

What l would recommend though is go for porcelain (stronger) as opposed to ceramic and as large as possible. It’s the cleaning of the grout in hard water area which can become a chore.
