DH's new car is a flashy hybrid, I have driven it and it's fine once it gets going, but I am baffled on how to set off.
What is the correct sequence is it foot on brake pedal, move lever to drive, foot on accelerator? What about the handbrake, do i just Ignore it? Confused

Foot on the brake, move the lever to drive. Take your foot off the brake, the electronic handbrake will hold it. Press gently on the accelerator and the handbrake will release.

With mine I put my foot on the brake and press the button to start it. Put the lever into drive or reverse then just go. I don't ever touch the brake. DHs sometimes demands that I release the brake but confusingly not every time.

This cracks me up only because I went to fuel dh car the other day and I could not work out how to open the fuel cap. No key. Couldn't see a button. Tried yanking it.

I drove off fueless. I rang him and after laughing he said where the button is.

I didn't bother going back I was too embarrassed. I was doing it as I can get it cheaper so I'll leave it a few days lol
