Spotting whilst breastfeeding

I’m exclusively breast feeding my 18 week old and keep getting spotting/light bleeding. It can be several times a week, sometimes for a day others just an hour. Following his birth I did bleed for 12 weeks and required antibiotics. The bleeding then stopped for 2-3 weeks before this spotting started. I don’t think my periods have returned.
I had my routine smear this week but am worried that this bleeding is abnormal. Has anyone had anything similar? X

Was it all ok ? I'm having the same for the last 3 months I'm breastfeeding and 4 months pp

The Doctors kept saying it could be normal due to hormone changes. I ended up having a scan 6 months post partum and had some scar tissue from ?retained products due to the PPH I had. I had a hysteroscopy and they removed the scar tissue and I had no problems after that.
After my second child which was a straight forward labour I’ve had no problems with bleeding whilst breast feeding.
