Our 6yo has a quad bike he will soon be learning to ride, it as it has a wrist/belt strap which is a kill switch in case he falls off and also has a speed adjustment setting which allows us to control how fast he can go and it can limit the speed to something very slow so that we can comfortably walk alongside if we wanted to which is what we will do whilst hes learning to steer and use it properly.
He will use it in a field our family own and nowhere near roads.
We have purchased a helmet and now are trying to find out about padding and what will be sufficient for him.
I've seen everything from elbow, knee and wrist padding to full suits which I'm not sure if he needs as he will be going very very slow for a long time.
Does anyone have any experience or advice in terms of how best keep him safe and what else we might need?
