Football nets advice needed please!

We've been given a 8 ft x 4 ft plastic tubular football goal frame and I need to buy a net for it. I am a complete football novice, so please bear with me....

How does the net attach to the frame? Do I need to buy separate attachments? Is it best to attach the frame to the ground (grass lawn), I keep thinking of horror stories I have read about goal frames falling onto children.

Lastly what sort of football should I buy (3yr and 6 yr old).
Thanks Flowers

I have a bit of knowledge in this area from years ago.
IIRC we had metal u shaped thingies that fastened over the frame and we hammered into the ground to make it stable.
Not sure re the net, we had one which I think they fed the tubes through somehow.

Footballs come in different sizes (something I didn't know until the DSs started playing)

Size 3 football Under 7, 8 and 9 Age Groups.
Size 4 football, Under 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14 Age Groups.
Size 5 football, Under 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 to Adults.
Size 2 footballs are recommended for 4 and 5 year olds.

Look on the web site of the posts brand - they'll sell nets and clips eg Samba goals are very common.
Kids nets aren't the type that hurst people. It was old corroded large metal ones

And yes size 3 footballs. Don't got bigger as too big for legs. Better to go smaller. Size 2s are also good for practice. I coach football
