How to get rid of stain ‘limescale’ type stains that need to be scraped off?

All bathroom cleaners still leave some of the greeny-beige stain of the original limescale or fungal thing (from water collecting on a side of the sink) that I can only get off by scraping off using my finger nails.. any scrapers you’d recommend that wouldn’t damage the sink?

Viakal spray... leave it for quite a long time then get in there with a really scrapey sponge (the green rough sort) . You do need to do it at least weekly in a hard water area though!

White vinegar soaked cotton wool helps.

I second viakal spray, it’s a miracle worker! And yes I have to use it weekly now to keep on top of it. But my bathroom shines.

I use viakal or the pink stuff and a scourer on the shower.

Just keep on with the limescale remover/vinegar. You’ll get there in the end. Smile

On a flat surface I drench a kitchen paper towel with vinegar and leave it on the stain for a while. It softens the limescale and it can be removed.

I often use an old toothbrush to scrap any remains. Normally that is enough.

Best is obviously to wipe the surface dry when you used the sink. I got into the habit when DH lived in a house share at uni and they had a bathroom suite in burgendy red and very hard water.

Just tried viakal and it worked perfectly. Thanks so much :)

You can rub it off with a penny or 2p coin
