If I love any movie with Melissa McCarthy in, what else will I like?

Last minute night to myself and I've ploughed through all her movies. What else is in that same comedy vein?

My fallback is Bridesmaids (again) and the last of the red wine from last night Grin

But I would like to try something I've not seen before.

RedSquirrelsAreAwesome · 03/06/2021 18:31

Yes Bridesmaids is my absolute fave comedy film 👍🏽 They should have made a spin off film with her character or at least a sequel!

Not a film but have you seen 'Mike & Molly' ? It's a series, in which she plays one of the main characters, Molly. It's not hilarious, but some good characters and kinda feel good.

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 03/06/2021 19:18

I loved We Are the Millers.

Cant stand Will Ferrell

A Simon Pegg film, especially the Cornetto trilogy. They have the same physical comedy, the same slightly surreal vibe, the same slightly off-base sense of humour

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 03/06/2021 19:29

I love the Cornetto trilogy!

She is in this one so you’ve probably already seen it but I am a Richard E Grant fan and absolutely loved Can You Ever Forgive Me?

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 03/06/2021 20:12

Horrible bosses 1 and 2.
Tag.

peoplearepeople · 03/06/2021 21:57

Also "This is war" with Tom Hardy and Chris Pine. Quite a different kind of film for them and really feel good funny.
"Stretch" is another one that has a similar feel but nobody seems to have heard of it apart from me and Dh. Grin

Ozymandias101 · 03/06/2021 22:00

You might like Get Smart.

BusySittingDown · 03/06/2021 22:00
