NHS or private dental crown

managed by some miracle to get an emergency appointment NHS for a severely cracked back molar tooth that needs a crown. the dentist said I can have metal NHS or various private options, the next up pricewise being metal with porcelain cover. she said theres no difference to pros/cons apart from colour.
my teeth are discoloured anyway and it wont be that visible, and I tend to grind my teeth and I have read that porcelain might crack more easily. however also I've read that the lab used to make the crown privately is better than NHS, better materials and technicians- this is colosseum dental group in london. any advice on what to do? I really dont know what to think!
