I think the Airbnb is haunted!

Away for 5 nights in an old cottage. It’s beautiful, good location - all as described- very quirky ( and rather damp...) Just arrived today and already I’m dreading sleeping here tonight.

Very old cottage with lots of stone cupboards and very few windows. It’s a bit like a cave. It certainly has some odd vibes- I think it’s haunted.

Any tips on how to manage? - going home or finding somewhere else is not an option.

I'd struggle with it if I picked up that vibe.

I would desperately try to avoid needing the toilet overnight, make sure I haven't left anything in another room when it's dark etc

It's not haunted. That is not a thing.

As you can neither leave nor move, you need to manage your anxiety. Are you alone?

It's not easy but, having spent my entire childhood/young adulthood crippled with terror about this sort of thing I try now as an adult to just 'choose' not to be afraid. I give myself a stern talking-to and I just try to shut down the thoughts and tell myself I have the right to be there and to enjoy my holiday. Good luck OP!

There's no such thing as ghosts. But places feel creepy sometimes. It might be infra sound.

Well we were in a holiday cottage a few weeks ago, and the little chest of drawers in the lounge just randomly tipped forward, making the drawers slide out. Nobody had touched it. That's what I call haunted!

We stayed in an old cottage a few years ago and when we arrived I sat chilling with a cuppa prior to unpacking, while the others went shopping. Suddenly I heard from behind me a long loud sigh, which I automatically assumed was some sort of evil goblin sent to torment me. I went cold all over but forced myself to investigate. Turned out it was one of those air fresheners set to go off at regular intervals.

It's your mind playing tricks on you. Put the TV on for background noise and find something to do.

Put on the tv or play something on youtube to distract you
