and it's driving me to the edge of sanity.
DS is 6, just. Partly tube fed since birth. Sensory issues with some foods since about 25 months following bowel surgery. Slowly built up some safe foods.
But the last clear of so it's dwindling. No longer likes half the foods he'd eat before. He lives in bread and cheese, raisins, pepperami sausage, toast. And none of it in vast quantities.
He rarely feels hungry and when it does it only takes a tiny amount to fill him. Milk via tube all given overnight so as to not interfere with his appetite
Today he had
Bf: one slice of toast and marg. It took him hours to eat it
Lunch: half a cheese sandwich, marg on one side, spread cheese on the other. 6 pringles.
Snack: half a 2finger KitKat and a handful of crisps. He left half the KitKat by choice and only wanted a handful of crisps.
Dinner: 1/2 fish finger, 2 alphabet bites, teaspoon of baked beans. 1/4 cheese sandwich with marg. Dinner took well over an hour to eat.
He only drinks water and not tons.
I'm waiting for hospital to get back to me but the waiting list is long. Dietician has put his milk up for weight gain.
But he just tells me how much he hates eating. He cries if we put tube milk on whilst he's awake. I'm on the edge and I no longer know what to do
