Which sentence makes more sense

Just a small query, about to send an email and wondering if anyone could let me know if the following sentence makes sense:

‘Feel free to change the draft as you best see fit’

...or maybe it’d sound better to say

‘Happy to make any amendments’

(Yes, I’m that bad with English grammar Blush)

Feel free to make any necessary amendments?

FrankensteinIsTheMonster · 02/06/2021 17:08

Well, which is it — do you want them to amend it, or send it back to you for you to amend it?

Hellocatshome · 02/06/2021 17:09

Feel free to make any necessary amendments?

This

They mean two different things. The first one - they make any amendments. The second one - you do!

idontlikealdi · 02/06/2021 17:10

What do you actually want - for them to do it or you to do it?

ShonkyCat · 02/06/2021 17:14

Assuming you want feedback but would make the changes yourself:

"Please let me know if you would like me to make any changes to the draft."

(From your suggestions "As you best see fit" is ungrammatical. It should just be "as you see fit")

FrankensteinIsTheMonster · 02/06/2021 17:14

Either of them reads fine, if you delete "best".

DurhamDurham · 02/06/2021 17:15

They mean different things so they aren't interchangeable.

AdaColeman · 02/06/2021 17:15

If you want to make the amendments yourself say something like...

"Please return to me, with your suggestions for any amendments."

BetterThanKleenex · 02/06/2021 17:26

I think you're mixing "As best you can" with "As you see fit"

You could say 'Happy to make amendments' or 'Feel free to make amendments'

DotsandCo · 02/06/2021 17:28

They mean different things though OP, so what are you wanting from the sentences?

Do you want the recipient to amend or would you rather do it yourself?
