I only really buy lean steak mince but have acquired this (20% fat stuff). It's pale pink/slightly grey(?!) rather than the darker red that I would expect. Plus it smells a bit.....mince-ier than the stuff I buy.

In date for two more days.
Don't want to poison the DC!

It's fine. It doesn't look as fresh as some mince, but if it is within date and doesn't smell rancid, it's fine.

I am very, very relaxed with use by and BB dates, but I use my nose a lot. If it smells dodgy I would avoid.

It just looks like cheap mince to me. Cook it off for longer if you have doubts. Obviously, if it smells 'gamey' or wierd then bin it.

I've had off mince that was still within date. In those cases I just fry it off and give it to the dog so not wasted.
