CV/Depression Help

SwankyPants · 02/06/2021 16:42

My son didn't manage to do his exams for year 2 graphics college course.
He was at the start of being diagnosed with depression and then lockdown started.
We're not sure what to say about it on his CV. Do we leave it off all together?
Do we mention his depression (he's nor on medication and is fine)
Thanks

CV for what purpose, is he applying for jobs right now?

Just list his college courses as in progress with expected completion date (I'm assuming he plans to finish and hasn't dropped out.) Whether he is on medical leave from his college/deferred his exams is not their problem or their business, assuming he is available and well enough to work.

He's starting to apply for jobs.
The 2nd year finished last year so he's had a year of not doing anything.

If he's no longer enrolled you list the college course as X Date to Y Date, College Name. course of Study: BTEc design, or whatever. It'll be obvious from that that he didn't finish, but he can explain that he took some leave for a health issue which is now resolved. And better that than a longer gap.
