PG?

I have seen it a few times in recent threads and certainly heard it fairly often as a child. It clearly means pregnant, but why?

I am pretty sure that people aren't referring to themselves specifically as a "prima gravida" and nobody pronounces the word as Pre-Gnant.

What does the "G" stand for?

I don't think thee g means anything, pg itself is short for pregnant

Why not just "P" then? Or another acronym that makes logical sense?

I don't know. it's just what it is.
I'm ok with it🤷‍♀️

Fair enough. I'm just curious as to whether it has an actual meaning.

It puts me in mind of the Les Dawson, hoiky bosom characters discussing illnesses over the garden fence Grin
