Disposing of a hot tub

We're moving house soon and have looked at a few houses with hot tubs in the garden. Is a hot tub considered to be a fixture and fitting? Would the owners take it with them to the new house? If not, are they expensive to dispose of?
Thanks

It could be a fixture and fitting. Ours wasn't. They sell for a fortune on eBay.

They can be valuable, however many of them are left because the owners don't want to pay for a crane to remove it.... Or can be very expensive to move them in and out.

I'd consider a hot tub something a CF didn't want to deal with as opposed to a positive benefit for a house.

Most houses in my area (different country) have hot tubs. Every house we've viewed has it listed as a chattel. They are a complete arse to uplift and most people would just want to arrange their own on their new place.

PPS are also correct in that you can't just take one away and dump it on your land. It needs proper landscaping and a proper leveled area etc etc

Our eBay buyer paid for collection and sent a specialised company. It could get out the garden on it's side. Got a grand and it was broken.

Thanks. Just slightly concerned as one has been left (possibly dumped) on a verge on my way to work. I wouldn't want the hassle of disposing of one even if someone will pay for it.
