Has anyone been to Legoland recently - Reserve and Ride

Hi, I’m visiting legoland this week and have purchased reserve and ride. The website says I will be sent instructions on how to activate this but I haven’t and the phone line don’t seem to know how to do it either. They just tell us to go to the reserve and ride kiosk on the day but I imagine it will be really busy this week so wanted to get ahead of time if possible.

Does anyone know how it works since they moved to the mobile reserve and ride or have they moved back to the handheld device things?

I want to do a trip to legoland soon but the confusion about how reserve and ride works now is what is stopping me from booking.

I have a 13yo and 11yo who are fully capable of going on rides unaccompanied by an adult and the legoland T&Cs are fine with them riding unaccompanied by an adult (restrictions are that anyone under 1.3m tall needs to be accompanied by an adult and they are both over 1.3m) but the separate T&Cs for reserve and ride say that using the app is restricted that anyone under 14 must be accompanied by someone over 16. I do not want to go on the various fast and exhilarating rides as many times as the boys will want to, but I don't see why they are excluded from using reserve & ride without me given that they are allowed to ride without me generally.

Having it phone-based means that I could only send them off to do a ride and meet me afterwards if I was willing to give them my phone to take with them, which I don't really want to do!

There's separate reserve and ride entrances to rides which I assume you can simply queue at and send the kids off on. Definitely doing that next time as waiting was a right faff.

Is it really an extra £25 per person for reserve and ride??
