Expanding business... delivery!

Last year a started a baking business specialising in giant cookies. It's really taken off and I'm really proud of what I have built.

I'm looking at expanding to have a delivery option, however this is where I am struggling.

The cookies fit nicely into a 12" pizza box. 95% are personalised and so iced.

I have no clue which delivery company to use or try. I would need to ensure they are kept the right way up for obvious reasons and delivered promptly for freshness.

It also can't break the bank!

Any thoughts or ideas welcome!

You'd never manage to find any delivery company will keep a parcel the right way up.
I would suggest look at packaging inside the pizza box to suspend the cookie in just the right place such that it holds the cookie in place at the bottom of the box so it can't fall when upside down and such that any pressure on the top of the box doesn't damage the icing. Or maybe look at shops taking orders for you so a batch is delivered at once?

Are you thinking local delivery or national delivery?

Lots of places that sound similar to yours deliver locally round me and they all use deliveroo/uber eats

I'd look at doing a tie in with a local pizza place maybe, as an order add on? Can't be that difficult to get the likes of Deliveroo to keep things the right way up as they must have to do that with all manner of other takeaways.

No suggestions about local deliveries, but if you are doing further afield please avoid Hermes. Enough threads have provided evidence as to why.
