Yet more isolation

We're isolating again till ds gets test results, he's got a cough and a fever.

We've all had covid, we've had to test 4 times because of symptoms which were not covid, between me working out of the house and 3 kids in school we've had 9 periods of someone having to isolate because of being in contact with a positive case.

We should have been out at a park this afternoon for the bank holiday but instead we're all at home. Again.

I know there's nothing we can do, I know it's the right thing to do, but I am so worn down with all of this now, so worn down.

I dont even want to add up how much time someone has spent isolating in the past few months. Poor kids haven't had a decent length of time at school at all.

I just want it to all go away 😩

Commiserations Sad we are in the same boat. Ds 2 isolated the week before last, resumed at school on Monday and by Wednesday we had an email saying he had to isolate again. Apparently half his year are now off. He initially tested negative but is now positive. We all had it end of November last year so a bit flummoxed about how he’s caught it again Confused. Luckily he’s at his dads at the moment so I’ve not seen him for a few days. It’s just so demoralising....

It’s crap but the other side of the coin is my best friends children missed 14 months of school shielding. If everyone did the right thing like yourself that would not have been necessary. As it was they were signed off by doctors due to parents constantly sending their dc in with symptoms.
Other than quote parks and the garden that was their life until they as thankfully they were both 12 and over were vaccinated.
In doing the right thing you are making life better for others. I was shielding myself and am thankful.

That's a good way of thinking about it @MyDcAreMarvel

I couldn't have sent him to school with a cough if he hadn't had a negative result, they would just have sent him straight back home.
And its not fair on teachers or other families to have the worry of being around someone coughing.
