Yeah, it was silent reflux.
Does LO arch back?

Lollypop1241 · 29/05/2021 21:23

If you google reflux/silent reflux and have a look at the other symptoms and see if you notice any.
It’s called silent reflux because the symptoms are not always obvious that it’s reflux.

So what you think is saliva LO is choking on could be acid. Mine did the exact same that’s how it all came about he had it.
Prescription from docs and he was a different baby.

Is it normal or could it be because of the milk I give him

Mine had this and agree it sounds like silent reflux. Talk to your health visitor about anti-reflux milks which may help, however in severe cases your GP can prescribe Omeprazole for your baby x

I’ll message the health visitor on Tuesday to see what she suggests thank you for your replies

As a side, you might feel more confident if you complete a baby first aid course- if not already done so?

Lollypop1241 · 29/05/2021 22:23

I was going to do a first aid course when I was doing my childcare level three course but because of Covid we weren’t able to I thought doing child care would prepare me for motherhood but it didn’t lol

Unfortunately it is normal, there are reflux milks you can buy, carobel to add to his normal milk, carobel worked for us for two weeks then we had to get him on meds, he was on them for about 5
month. Weaning helped a lot aswell but obv too young now for that but when time comes it will help.
