My aunt wants to know if she can put my name on her council tenancy she’s already paying full rent for her bungalow if she then decided to leave at a later time would I still qualify on the tenancy agreement with her housing association

There are specific rules about how many times the tenancy can be changed/transferred - usually, it's only once, for example if somebody were married and then widowed. As a result, after that point, the person left doesn't have a right to take on the tenancy by themselves.

She'll have to check with her local council for their policy - and they won't make any exceptions for things as her then trotting off to live somewhere else.

I believe you can only be added once you have been living there for a year as your only residence.
