Does giffgaff count down how much data you've used?

Say from 500mb...to zero.

Or up; so from zero to 500mb?

I'm trying to work out whether dd2 needs more data for the walk to/from school (I have both girl's location on my phone & not sure if mine will tell me where they are, without them having data).

on my app it says how much data i have left so it definitely counts down

If you go on the app it tells you how much data you have left of your goodybag.

Oooh, I didn't think to look for an app! I've been using the website.
