Front door colour recommendations

Hello,

We have just bought a new house and are moving in next week. Its a victorian mid terrace in a light ish brick. The house is fairly done and I want to put my stamp on it with the front door. Its wood, currently painted blue but will be easy to sand down and repaint. I want something different and 'statement' without being garish. Any one got a colour door they love? I love farrow and ball colours- been looking at DeNimes and Inchyra blue but open to any colours/brands!

I think deep purple front doors are absolutely gorgeous.

Yellow. So cheery and strong.

We've got deep purple. Still pleased I made the choice. Not too weird but a bit different.

Deep purple sounds interesting. Like a plum colour or proper purple?

I love that yellow door. I see a cottage with a pale pink door which is beautiful. But I do love a glossy black door.

Sort of this shade:-

Does the door have stained glass? Dark colours are amazing for showing off stained glass. Something like Railings or Studio Green. Or perhaps there is a colour in the glass you could pick out.

@minipie good point yes it does! It has red, yellow, blue and pink in the glass so maybe one of them?

We have an ice blue colour. I absolutely love it. Not a bold colour but definitely statement - we get asked about it frequently.

Mine's just a glossy black... never thought I'd get door envy but now I do

I fell in love with a house purely because it had a beautiful yellow door. It was stunning! Go for yellow!

With those colours I’d go for a green, it works as a compliment or contrast with with all of them
