Eric and Maurice(Sendak) were the authors that I read most to my daughter. I also read them to countless children , but never tired of them which in my work weary parental eyes was the hallmark of success.

Spread your gorgeous butterfly wings and fly Eric. I will have a slice of chocolate cake , and maybe a pickle, later in your memory.

Such an iconic author and illustrator.

Ah, that's a shame. I loved The Bad Tempered Ladybird.

My daughters current favourite book is the lonely firefly.

We had a day of self isolation a few weeks ago which I thought was going to run into two and needed school work for both a pre-schooler and reception child, I printed loads of Hungry Caterpillar stuff off and didn’t need to use it.
