Having a much better day than yesterday, which was our wedding anniversary. I have been getting pains lately & they were particularly bad, despite a hot shower & painkillers. We were supposed to go out for afternoon tea but cancelled. Plus the weather was absolutely foul. Still, we had a delicious Indian delivered. Our new go to! And I had beautiful roses from DH plus a card which made me cry.
Today is lovely & sunny 😎 I worked earlier then someone came round to give me a quote for a one off deep clean. We’re having pulled pork with honey & apple sauce, mash, red cabbage & peas for tea. DD12 ate earlier. The bunnies are enjoying being out in the garden, bless them.

Youngest 3 dc are asleep. Dc 2-5 are are hanging in their bedrooms and dc1 is downstairs waffling about ticktok. Dh is on the treadmill and I am drinking Prosecco to celebrate handing in my final essay of the first year of my degree. It's a good day.

I cooked dinner for my DP then realised he isn't coming over tonight (bloody starter and all!).

Now showered and in bed. DC2 in his room talking to a mate.

Dd2 and I are just sitting down to watch last weeks sewing bee, dh and ds are about to watch the football, dd1 is upstairs having a wardrobe crisis (this means among the 4,500 items in her wardrobe she can’t find anything to wear to college tomorrow)...
I’ll have a tidy up in a bit, the cleaner is coming tomorrow and we are going on holiday on Friday so lots to do but plenty of time yet so I’m not hurrying!

I’m watching the football

Just soaking in the bath typing this while DH watching tv downstairs. My Junior Doctor DS has just been offered and has accepted an ICU position for August, and very proud of his achievements. His DF who died in 2006 would have been so proud as well 🙂
Visited an old lady friend in her nursing home, socially distanced, earlier this afternoon.
Have an online business and have made some good sales today - so all in all, a good but hectic day.

DH is watching the football in his man cave, DD2 is playing Minecraft in the living room, DD1 is in her bedroom, I'm sitting staring out the window waiting for a Chinese takeaway because when I went to make dinner earlier I realised the chicken we had in the fridge was off and I thought "Fuck it" and ordered something instead of finding something else to make.

Before someone asks: young chow fried rice for me, chicken chow mein for both DH and DD1, sweet and sour chicken for DD2 and sesame toasts and prawn crackers for sides. I'm wishing I'd ordered a curry sauce for myself now too though as I love a bit of curry sauce over a fried rice. I might steal some of the sweet and sour sauce instead though.

Both ds and I are absolutely shattered.

He's a swimmer and that involves very early mornings and on top of this he's had racing this past week and so I've been timekeeping, there's been extra sessions and he had his exams last week.

There's no swimming this evening or tomorrow.

So enjoying not doing anything until the 4am alarm on Friday 🤣

Well apart from housework, work and college

Ds1 is weighing down his recliner with his laptop ad and phone on his lap.

Ds2 needs to go to the loo but is about 3/4 of the way through dropping each and every one of the 300 or so pieces of lego in one pile onto a hard surface before dumping them on another pile.

We had to put our elderly cat down.
It was very sad but I feel a little relieved that we made a decision.
He had a chronic health issue and working out when it was time was hard.

He had been around longer then dc who are very sad teens tonight.

DC1 and DH are watching Dr Who. DC2 and a cat are asleep together. I don't know where the other cats are but they usually like to sit on the settee too when Dr Who is on. I am having a drink after DC2 finally went to sleep, then I am making DCs' packed lunches and washing up before bed.
