Have you ever stayed in smoking chalet/apartment/caravan?

The chalet we'd booked for half term was cancelled a few days ok so we were scrabbling round to find an alternative but the only place still available says it allows smoking.

Firstly I thought that wasn't allowed since the smoking ban but clearly not, secondly we're worried it will smell.

I've bought some air fresheners just in case but how likely is it that people would even smoke in a holiday chalet these days?!

I am a smoker, but I’ve never stayed anywhere I could.
TBH, I don’t think I would even if it was allowed

If this is England I am surprised it is allowed. It will stink and air fresheners just add extra stink. That's why it is available.

Unless you smoke, dont even think about it.

Oh I wouldn’t. Years ago I stayed in an apartment abroad that allowed smoking. It was hideous and I asked to be moved the second night to a non smoking room. It stunk and felt like everything was still coated! I was a smoker but it was just too much.

I’d double check though - does it mean smoking is allowed on the balcony?

Whenever I go abroad I always stay in smoking rooms, and can never smell a thing.
I would chance it.

God no never, it will be grim.

SquashMinusIsShit · 26/05/2021 21:18

I'm really worried it will be gross but it was literally the only place available for half term (everywhere is mega busy as no one is going abroad) so we'll have to suck it up. The weather is looking good so we'll try to be out as much as possible!

No balcony unfortunately, it is a chalet on a camp site.
