What to do about friend and money?

My friend has very kindly offered to give me her DD's old buggy - not used by her any more. It came up in conversation that I was about to buy one new and she said they still had theirs. Now it's a very smart and expensive make, and I know she could have sold it online. She's insisting she won't take any money for it though. What should I do? (I know she's struggling financially at the moment too and she's a single mum).

Realise that she knows her own mind/situation better than you do, and accept with good grace.

Buy her a really lovely present to say thank you; if she doesn’t want to accept money then it just becomes awkward if you try and give it anyway

Say thanks and buy her a drink next time you’re out
