The dreams that came true

I used to feel really super attracted to teachers/educators as a youngster. So much so, I found it difficult to talk to them. Also, my “one who got away” as an adult was a music teacher - the profession was a coincidence, I really liked this person.

Now, quite by accident, I’ve met someone online dating who is a professor. Is it really odd that this profession still really excites me?!

I never thought I’d end up dating a professor, it’s a bit of a dream (fantasy) come true.

What has happened in your life (big or small) that used to be a dream and has now come true?

I wanted to be a journalist when I was at junior school, was told I had no hope ( in the days when teachers were allowed to say that). I am now, aged 60, a published novelist and playwright. Ya boo sucks Mrs Dean 😝

I used to daydream when I was younger and my DS was a baby (I was a single parent) that one day we'd have a detached house, a dog, and for me a partner. I constantly thank my lucky stars to now have all 3 and never take it for granted, those lonely years will always stay with me.
