Adjustable waist leggings (kids)

DD is tall and slim. Each time I size up her leggings so they reach her ankles, they fall down because the waist is too big. I've tried DIY elastic adjustments but tend to make a mess of the waistband and it sits slightly wonky after that!

So far, I've found Polarn O Pyret (expensive, can't find any her size second hand so far, and the colour I want has been out of stock online for ages even if I did want to pay that much) and one single pair in Morrisons (not an ideal colour but I've ordered them anyway).

Are there any other brands I can look at? I need a few bigger pairs now and I suspect it'll be an ongoing problem in future, too!

PS not jeans/jeggings/joggers - more of those have adjustable waists, just looking for (ideally navy) leggings just now. Smile

No - I have exactly the same problem with dd1. I have found that H&M bottoms tend the be quite long and slim though.

H&M leggings good for tall slim girls. My DD is a tall slim 11 year old and I buy age 13-14 for her and not too big on the waist.

I had a super skinny DS and I also found that H&M suited him. Most Scandinavian brands suit tall and skinny.

I've never found leggings with adjustable waists. I've discovered Lucy Locket Loves which does a Little Lockets range. They are designed to fit a range of sizes (age 2-5, 5-8, 8-11) so are quite stretchy and slim. My daughter loves hers, but the 'bold' patterns won't be to everyone's taste.

I just spotted there's 50% off at the moment.

Gap are smaller around the waist as well.

Thanks! Can't find any plain navy in her size in H&M so going to try to put in a GAP order tonight. The Lucy Locket ones won't fit the bill but thanks for the suggestions!

Boden tend to be good for slim fit and their classic girls leggings are great quality, nice and thick. There's usually a 20% code knocking around too.

Arket leggings have adjustable waists! Unfortunately, they are probaby a similar price to the Polarn O Pyret ones, unless you get lucky in a sale.

Ooh, great! I'm glad I have options, even if more than I'd usually pay! I will set myself up some alerts on Ebay and Vinted, too. Smile I managed to get a second hand (basically new without tags) H&M pair last night, so I can try their sizing. I'm glad to have fallbacks of Gap, Arket and Boden! Glad I asked now!
