Update on the police complaint against me by neighbour's son

A quick update from my thread about a week ago about the police complaint of "harassment" made against me by my neighbour's unwell DC. I deleted the original thread for safety reasons.

Police have confirmed that there is no case against me and they are doing no further investigation. Also that the neighbours confirmed no fault on my part. Although they clearly concluded it was a MH issue on the DC's part, they judged him no risk of violence. He is now in another property several hundred miles away and expected to stay there.

DH and I have sorted things out. The situation triggered complex issues for us both in different ways.

We've improved our security a bit and I'm going to stay dark on social media for a bit (and abandon this username).

I missed your original thread, but it sounds like it was all pretty awful.

I'm pleased that things seem to be largely sorted now & I hope you and DH can move forward together & there aren't any lasting issues for you

Appreciate the thoughts. I felt very on edge and creeped out in my home until we'd had the chance to have a full consultation with police. It was very hard to calibrate just how freaked out it was appropriate to be. Him being far, far away is the best possible ending and I can hope that he gets appropriate treatment.
