Hi guys, I’m new here. I already have a 5 year old and we were over the moon to find out we were pregnant 13 weeks ago. At the 12 week scan everything looked great, perfect in fact according to the sonographer.
The dreaded phonecall came a few days later to say I had 1in 46 chance of the baby having edwards or patau syndrome. I went for the CVS test and he scanned the baby. He/she has a strawberry shaped head and a cleft lip. All the signs are there but naturally I’m still hopeful. I’m waiting for the phone call with the results today and the waiting is killing me. Either way we have a few problems on our hands. If it’s positive for edwards we have the horrific decision to make and if it’s not we have the skull shape and the cleft lip to think about. Has anyone else had a similar experience?
Thanks
