Trying to remember the name of a book.

I remember reading a book when I was a child (mid 90s)

There was a girl who lived with her aunts and they would eat iron filing sandwiches. I can't really remember much else, but I would always borrow it from the library.

There was another book, where there was a dog and they would go to 'Ocset' and from there on Tesco was always called Ocset.

If anyone could help I'd be extremely grateful.
