Help! How to mend Gore Tex boots?

Please help! My overpriced walking boots have developed a hole in the lining and goretex where my big toe rubs it. Please say there is a way I can fit it!

I'm not sure there will be a pretty or waterproof way to fix it, but I would try...
Cutting a leather or suitable sturdy fabric patch to go in the inside of the boot, fix it with contact adhesive.
Cut a similar but maybe smaller /more tidy / colour matching patch to go in the outside, again, fix with contact adhesive.
Possible stitch through one side to the other.

You could take it to a shoe repairer, if you have such a thing near you, or look for a repair cafe. They may not want to try if it's going to look daft or likely to fail, but from my point of view is always worth a try to fix if the other option is throwing away and buying new.

Difficult one but you could try adhesive Goretex patches www.pennineoutdoor.co.uk/goretex-repair-patches

Have you tried double layer socks to prevent rubbing? 1000 Mile ones are good.

Thank you both, something to think of there.

To be honest I didn't think they were rubbing until I suddenly found I had soggy feet....
